At 6:15 p.m., Station 34 and mutual aid companies were dispatched to the College Arms Apartments for a report of an appliance fire in the F building. The fire was reported to be contained to the appliance.
Upon arrival, Chief 34 found the fire had been extinguished. There was a smoke condition present in the second-floor apartment, with smoke extending throughout the second-floor area. Chief 34 limited the response to units already en route.
Crews remained on scene for approximately one hour to ventilate the building and remove smoke.
