| At 9:28 a.m. on July 4, 2026, Engine 34 was dispatched to assist the Perkiomen Township Fire Company at a dwelling fire in the 100 block of Lincoln Road, Perkiomen Township. Additional information from 911 callers reported fire coming from the home’s attached garage. The first fire crews arrived to find heavy fire conditions and began a transitional fire attack. Engine 52 secured a reliable water supply from a hydrant at the intersection of Lincoln Drive and Johnson Road.
Engine 34 arrived as the fifth engine at the scene. The crew from Engine 34 reported directly to the fire building to assist with fire suppression efforts. Squad 34 also responded with additional personnel due to the extreme heat conditions.
Utility 34 with FP34-1 responded to assist with traffic control and delivered cold water and several cases of bottled water to support fire crews and EMS personnel at the rehabilitation area.
The department acknowledges the support of area residents who provided water and refreshments to firefighters and a neighbor who offered the use of their home’s bathroom facilities.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Regional Fire Investigation Team #1 (RFIT1). |
