| At approximately 3:40 p.m. today, Squad 34 of the Collegeville Fire Company, along with Trappe Fire Company and Medic 325-23 from Friendship Ambulance, were dispatched to a vehicle accident near the intersection of West Main Street and Linfield Trappe Road in Trappe Borough. Engine 77 arrived on the scene with Pennsylvania State Police and found two vehicles involved, with one vehicle off the roadway and emitting smoke. Squad 68 from Upper Providence Township Fire & Emergency Services responded to assist. Crews from Engine 77 provided fire suppression and vehicle stabilization. Squad 34 assisted with additional personnel and fire suppression efforts. The crew from Squad 68 supported cleanup and helped block the area to ensure safety. Fire police from Trappe and Collegeville closed West Main Street at 7th Avenue and Greenwood Avenue, as well as several side streets, for over an hour while the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
