Collegeville Fire Company Assists Skippack

While returning from a carbon monoxide incident with symptoms in Lower Providence Township, Skippack firefighters were dispatched to a building fire around 3 am on Thursday morning. Battalion 34 contacted Chief 86 to ask if they should respond, as Squad 34 was already on the road. Chief 86 approved the response.
Firefighters arrived to find a fully involved shed behind a house on Hildebeitel Road. The fire was quickly extinguished with support from Collegeville Fire Company and Perkiomen Township Fire Company. Skippack Emergency Medical Services also assisted at the scene.
Crews remained on site for another hour, pulling apart the collapsed shed to put out hot spots and prevent stray embers from igniting a field or brush fire, since vegetation remains dry.
