At 12:45 hours Station 34 was dispatched 207 E. Main Street at the Royal Farms Store for a vehicle fire in front of the store. C72 reported a fully involved vehicle with exposure to the building and recommended a building response. 12:50 Deputy 34 radioed MCEDS to go ahead with the upgrade of the building response. CH34 requested Squad 68 on the incident. With the building upgrade, this brought in TW53, Engine 66, Ladder 68-2. Squad 68 arrived to supply its tank water to Squad 34. Engine 66 responded to a hydrant location on the old section of 1st Avenue and stood by in case a water supply was needed. Tower 53 responded to the "D" side of the building. 12:59 hours DC34 held the response to units on location. Ladder 68-2 went available. DC34 placed the fire under control at 13:10 hours, after building was checked for extension, and none was found. Board of health responded to scene as there was smoke in the building, and gave the okay for the store to re-open. |
