At 12:48 hours Engine 34 was dispatched on a automatic mutual aid response to Assist Station 53(Lower Providence) at a Non-Commercial Building fire in the 3800 block of Yerkes Road. Fire was reported to be a fire under the wood stove burning through the floor into the basement. Engine 34 responded with a crew of 5. and as the 2nd due engine E34 responded to establish a positive water supply and pick up the supply line to Engine 53 at the intersection of Saffron Way and Yerkes Road. 2 of our members hooked up to the hydrant, while the remaining crew went to the scene to stretch a 2nd attack line into the building. A quick knock down lessened the severity of the fire. Multiple other departments also assisted at the scene.
