At 6:36pm Wednesday night, Our Duty Crew responded with an all-volunteer to the 500 block of Gravel Pike (Rt 29) at the Perkiomen Creek Village for a report of “smoke coming up from under the porch”. Engine 66 quickly arrived on locations and reported mulch fire under the deck and recalled all other units. Engine 66's crew quickly extinguished the fire. Our volunteers were in service for about 20 minutes.
