Multiple Responses Due to Icy Roadways

This morning from the hours of 0900 hours to 1100 hours Collegeville Fire Company responded to several accident with injuries due to icy weather.
Squad 34 and Engine 77 along with and Freedom Valley EMS 376-18 were dispatched to a vehicle rescue on 113 in Trappe Borough. The occupant self extricated himself and the road was closed for several house due to icy road conditions. FP34 8 closed 113 down at College Avenue, while FP77-1, shut down 113 at Betcher Road in Perkiomen Twp.
Trappe Fire Police also responded to three different accidents in Upper Providence Township.
Squad 34 then responded to an accident with injuries in the area of S. Lewis Road and Rittenhouse Road in the Trappe Section of Upper Providence Twp. Rescue 98 along with FP98-2 responded to this incident also, in place of 77 while they were tied up on the 113 incident. 34 Fire Police were then dispatched to Arcola Road and Troutman Road for an MVA vehicle versus pole, with more vehicles sliding down the hill on ice.
