This afternoon at approximately 13:30 units including , Collegeville Fire Company and UPDFES, Black Rock Vol Fire Co. were alerted to Bridge Street and the Tow Path for a water rescue with a capsized kayak under the bridge. Units launched boats at Lock 60 and made successful rescues from the river.
Once again we would like to remind all that we have recently received a significant amount of rain and that water levels are higher and moving more quickly than normal. Please do not go out on the river regardless of how experienced you think you are! We can never underestimate the power of water!
