Station 34 Responds to two different water rescues on Schuykill River in Upper Providence Townhsip

At 13:56 hours Station 34 along with Station 99; 93 and Chester Station 65 and Chester Station 77 were dispatched with their Marine Units to a water rescue at 1000 Longford Road for a water rescue. Also responding were Station 99.
Reports from MCEDS stated 2 kayakers capsized with 6 people in the . Station 34 held in Station as reports came in that all subjects were out of the water.
Second Water Rescue came in at 16:57 hours in the area of 264 Canal Street, Upper Providence Twp., on the Schuykill River . Reports from MCEDS reported 2 kayaks flipped over in the Schuykill River by a flooded island and that both involved parties were uninjured. Once again units from Stations 99; 34; Chester 65; 77 along with EMS units responded to the incident. Boats were launched from lock 60. All parties were recovered and brought back to lock 60 and checked by EMS. Rescue boats also retrieved the kayaks and brought them back to shore.
