On Tuesday, the ladies of Community Club of Collegeville held its January monthly meeting at the beautiful, pristine, modern Collegeville Fire Station. After our business meeting, newly-elected Fire Chief Brian Kuklinski and his men/women showed the ladies around the new firehouse. We learned that response time from when the emergency whistle blasts is seven minutes on average. It takes 90 seconds on average to get dressed with complete gear. Fighting high heat fires can cause the sweat on a fireflighter's face to singe his skin!
