Fireworks Laws - What You Need To Know
PA residents can now purchase and use "Class C" fireworks (consumer grade fireworks - bottle rockets, firecrackers, and any firework that contains a maximum of 50 milligrams of explosive material). Residents must be 18 years old purchase, possess and use consumer fireworks. The law also states a person may not:
Ignite fireworks on public or private property without the express permission of the owner
Throw fireworks from a moving vehicle
Throw fireworks into a moving vehicle, building or another person
Ignite fireworks under the influence of alcohol or another controlled substance
Ignite fireworks within 150 feet of an occupied structure
