Station 34 Attends Lower Providence Fire Department’s Open House

October 16, 2018

Members of the Collegeville Fire Company attended Lower Providence Fire Department’s Open House tonight. While there, members were asked to demonstrate how a typical vehicle rescue operates. Led by Assistant Chief Craig Penuel, Engineer Daniel Fabry and Firefighters Steve Rush, Sam Ahola and Mike Duncan went to work. Fabry and Rush demonstrated how to remove both front and rear doors followed by removing the “B” post. Duncan and Ahola demonstrated how to remove both doors and “B” post as one whole unit. Together both crews removed the roof ending the demonstration. As usual, Engineer Allen Stewart arrived late and was relegated to “photographer”.

Great job by everyone involved tonight’s demonstration and thank you to Lower Providence Fire Department for inviting us to your show.
