MVA with Rescue Closes W. Main Street in Trappe

On Monday February 10th at 14:20 hours, Engine 34 along with Engine 77 were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Caller reported a pole and wires down and on fire. At 14:21 this incident was upgraded to a Vehicle Rescue with reports of one occupant trapped with wires down on the van PSP requested roadway shut down. PECO responded and secured power to the area, and the occupant was safely removed from the vehicle. Fire Police from Station 77, 34, 51 closed down W. Main Street between 5th and 3rd (113) Avenues and also Williams Way which enters W. Main Street right by the accident scene.
The roadway was to remain shut down for up to 8 hours as PECO made repairs to the pole and wires.
