At 5:27 pm on Thanksgiving Day, Collegeville Fire Company and Trappe Fire Company were dispatched to Basement Water Proofing Specialists on Second Avenue in Collegeville for a vehicle accident standby. Chief 34 arrived to find a vehicle that struck the front stoop of the building, the fence, and the retaining wall. Chief 34 held the assignment to Squad 34 and Fire Police from 34/77. Medic 324 was added to the call to evaluate the driver of the car. Units were on scene for about an hour assisting with debris clean up, traffic control, and assisting with lighting. Upper Providence Township Police were also on location providing assistance. The crash is currently under investigation by the Collegeville Police Department.
