At 14:42 hours Station 34, Ladder 77, Engine 66, Quint 53 were dispatched for a building investigation at the McDonalds in Collegeville for an odor of something burning inside. Chief 34 arrived on scene and reported an odor in the building. Crews from Squad 34, E34 and E66 entered the building to look for the source of the odor. The crew form Quint 53 laddered the roof to check the HVAC units. After an extensive search through the building, the source of the burning odor was found to be their orange juice machine.
Code enforcement, Montco board of health and PECO were called to the scene due to electric code violations.

Chief 34 made all fire units available with Code enforcement an PECO remaining on location.
