At 12:43 hours Station 34 was dispatched for a reported vehicle rescue.EDS reported that the caller was the operater of an oversize load truck. Caller reported wires down on the vehicle with the driver still inside. Battalion 34 arrived on scene and reported no rescue, and no fire apparatus needed. He advised EDS that fire police were needed to shut down E Main St., between 3rd and 5th Avenues. PD called for PECO and Verizon. PECO assisted with lifting the wires off the oversize load truck to it could be moved and that also allowed 3 other oversize load trucks to proceed east on Main St and into Lower Providence Twp.
E Main St., was closed for about 90 minutes.
